Bittersweet Chocolate Fudge


Before you make these, I want to let you know just how much of a favor you are doing yourself.  Look up what magnesium does for the body, then look up the top food sources of magnesium, or just read this.  There’s a reason we crave chocolate.  I am convinced that cravings are the body’s way of telling us what it’s missing.

These fudge bars have only three ingredients and they are super rich and…fudgy.  They are not too sweet because they understand that chocolate tastes best when it’s least tampered with.


*I can’t take creative credit for this treat, as I’ve come across lots of different variations online.  I just combined some ideas I found and simplified them as much as possible.

2 1/2 cups mejdool dates
1 cup raw cocoa powder
2 cups almonds
Optional garnishes: walnuts, cocoa powder

Throw everything into a food processor and blend on high for about 5 minutes. Spread into a 13″ x 9″ pan. They won’t fill the entire pan, but you’ll still be able to cut them into about 24 small squares. Enjoy!
